THE FISHING FESTIVAL OF TRUNG LUONG NEIGHBORHOOD 2024

The Fishing Festival, also known as the Festival of Lord Fish, is a cultural beauty of the fishermen in the coastal villages of the South Central region. The festival vividly reenacts the traditional ritual of worshiping Lord Fish, based on legends that carry the rich cultural traits of the folk.

The Fishing Festival of Trung Luong Neighborhood, Cat Tien, Phu Cat 2024 (from May 19th to May 21st, 2024) promises to bring joyful and vibrant experiences with unique traditional activities.

1. May 18th, 2024 (corresponding to April 11th, 2024, lunar calendar)
   • 15:00 – Procession of the Water Deity
   • 17:00 – Ceremony to welcome the Deity’s arrival (Lion dance performance)
2. May 19th, 2024 (corresponding to April 12th, 2024, lunar calendar)
   • 05:00 – Ritual to worship Lord Nam Hai
   • 07:00 to 12:00 – Welcoming distinguished guests to participate in the festival, offering prayers and hosting a banquet.
   • 17:00 – Ritual to start the festival and traditional opera performance
   • 19:00 – Ceremony to pay tribute to the King
3. May 20th – 21st, 2024 (corresponding to April 13th – 14th, 2024, lunar calendar)
   • 19:00 to 23:00 – Nightly traditional opera performances at Trung Luong Beach.
